Who we are

Pick of Trend (pickoftrend.com) is operated by Dhukka Ho Pvt Ltd, a private limited company registered in Nepal, located in Kathmandu, Nepal (“we”, “us” or “our”). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For any privacy question, email support@pickoftrend.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Order details: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number and the products you buy.
• Account details: if you create an account, your email address and password. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form.
• Messages: anything you send us through our contact form or by email, including your order number.
• Reviews: if you review a product, the name you give, your rating and your comments.

Payment information

Card payments are processed by Cybersource (Visa Acceptance Solutions) on behalf of our bank, NIC Asia Bank Limited. You enter your card number and security code in the payment provider’s secure form, and they are not stored on our website. We receive only limited details, such as the card type, the last four digits, the expiry date and whether the payment was approved.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the website that referred you, as recorded in our server logs.
• Cookies: small files that keep your cart and login working and record how you arrived at our site. See “Cookies” below.

Information from others

Our payment provider may share fraud-screening results with us, and shipping carriers send us delivery updates for your order.

How we use your information

• To process, ship and track your order and to send you order emails.
• To take payment, issue refunds and prevent fraud.
• To answer your questions and handle returns and disputes.
• To keep our website secure and working, and to understand how it’s used so we can improve it.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
• To send you marketing emails, but only if you’ve agreed to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only when it’s needed to run our store:

• Payment processing: Cybersource (a Visa company) and NIC Asia Bank Limited, to process payments, refunds and fraud checks.
• Fulfillment partners and suppliers: your name, shipping address and phone number, so they can pack and ship your order.
• Shipping carriers: your delivery details, so they can deliver your package and provide tracking.
• Hosting and email services: Hostinger hosts our website and its database, and email providers deliver our messages.
• Advisers and authorities: accountants, lawyers or government bodies, when the law requires it or when needed to protect our rights and prevent fraud.
• A new owner: if our business is sold or merged, customer information may be transferred to the new owner, who must continue to protect it under this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International transfers

Our company is based in Nepal, our customers are in the United States, and our service providers and fulfillment partners work in several countries, including the United States and countries in Asia. Your information will therefore be transferred to and processed in those countries, whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it’s handled.

How long we keep it

• Order and payment records: for as long as tax, accounting and other laws require.
• Account information: until you ask us to close your account.
• Contact form messages: for up to 2 years after we last hear from you.
• Server logs: for a limited period, for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

We use cookies that the store needs in order to work: to keep items in your cart, keep you logged in and protect checkout. WooCommerce, the software our store runs on, also sets cookies that record how you arrived at our site (for example, from a search engine or a link), which helps us understand which channels bring customers to us. We don’t use advertising cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout won’t work without them.

How we protect it

Our website uses HTTPS encryption, payments are handled by a PCI DSS–compliant provider, and only people who need customer data to run the store can access it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information, and we’ll notify you of any breach that affects you as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct information that is inaccurate;
• delete your information, except what we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons;
• stop sending you marketing emails.

If you live in a state with its own privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut or Virginia, you may have additional rights under that law. To make a request, email support@pickoftrend.com from the email address you used with us. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we’ll respond within 45 days. You can also make a request through an authorized agent. We won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Children

Our store is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it. Anyone under 18 should shop with a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we’ll post a notice on our website.
