The soldering iron works with my 33w pd charger which is very nice, you do not need to buy an expensive charger – only drawback is that it heats up slower. You have to change the power to 30% if you use a 30w charger/powerbank, 65% for 65w and so on. The hs-02a version is useful even for very small parts soldering, b version is even more precise. Get the a for a more general purpose use.

Iron works, matches description. The box is nice too. Its worth the price i paid $60 usd and 5 stars. Only complaint is the cap for the iron is directional. If you insert it the wrong way, it wont close centered. This is because there are 2 prongs but the iron has 3 sides (triangle shaped). Other complaint with the box is that the lid doesnt have a mechanism to lock it, or use magnets to keep it closed. It stays closed on the latch. The spool for the solder is held in with magnet and can be a bit finicky. That is definitely an afterthought and should be simplified without parts that can fall off. Will worth the money.

This cheap portable soldering iron is so much better than all “cheapish” (but still more expensive) soldering stations i have tried. Heats up extremely fast (comes up to 360 celsius in a few seconds), which means that i shut it down (or use autosleep) when preparing the next soldering point. This is much better for the life of the tip, and helps prevent oxidation. The box with the holder and the tips is a very nice addition. All-in-all, this iron makes soldering at home (without professional equipment) so much fun – no more waiting a few minutes for the iron to heat up and having to constantly reactivate the tip because of oxidation.

So after owning this and the alientek t90 i would have to say this is better quality and feels more premium in the hand… both are ready to use insanely fast but i like the feel, and the options on the hs02 over the t90. feels like a better quality unit. i seen reports about repairability , they are about the same when it comes to that, both need to have the screens removed to take apart. both can be taken apart and repaired. overall near instant heat up time and stays hot and even for hours.

This thing is amazing. Unlike tips from previous generations of soldering irons, the hs-02 tips have a full heating element+temperature sensor as close to the tip as possible which means it heats up in no time. You’d think that for something so inexpensive they’d cut corners but no way man the soldering iron feels more premium than my $100 hakko. And it has a microcontroller and a screen inside of the iron. It feels so slick and futuristic i just wanna solder all the time now. Unbelievable. This is my first product from fnirsi and trust me it won’t be the last!

I am super happy with the purchase. Super fast delivery and a very attentive seller. As for the product, it is of unparalleled quality and beauty – a true gem! I’ve done a few tests so far. I only noticed that if the device is set to maximum power (100% power), the device turns off, which does not happen at the default setting of 65%. This may indicate that the source is not releasing its maximum power of 100W or there may be some internal issue with it. For now, 80% of everything is OK. More aggressive usage tests will be necessary to confirm this condition. Let’s see.

Note there are 2 models: – hs-02b (professional c210 tips, used for micro-soldering as they can go down to 0.1mm — do not buy that if you don’t have a digital microscope, otherwise you’re not micro soldering and that’s just useless, and gonna become an annoyance to you) – hs-02a (the one i bought with box+6 tips, these are professional c245 tips used for generic purpose soldering, but can also do some micro soldering with the adequate tip at 0.3mm, so go for this one if you don’t know what to choose!) Arrived well packaged/protected. All accessories included are exactly as described. With my 140w pd power supply, i cannot use 100% power or the soldering iron will not start. I had to adjust the power percentage little by little until it didn’t shut down upon starting heat. I am at 74% power setting and the voltage is 20v. The soldering iron will heat up at a decent rate and maintain the heat perfectly. My pd power supply is not a cheap unit, well built. I am surprised i’m unable to run max power on the soldering iron… maybe there could be a firmware update to fix this weird issue. Otherwise the unit is nice, and a welcome upgrade to my ts-100 from 2013.

Excellent user experience, I will retire the regular soldering iron. It works perfectly with a 65W power supply, and in just a few moments it drew all the power from the source. Excellent presentation and product. The 100w charger is indeed 100 watt-rated after testing. The iron heats up and cools quickly with the integrated heat sink. You may not know, but it also has a compartment to store solder! I just wish it had a place to store flux paste when traveling. As an extra bonus, you can change quite a few settings from the integrated menu. The screen is oriented such that it’s easy to read while held in the right had. As a lefty this was nearly dealbreaker. However, you can set the display mode for left-handed orientation. Fantastic!

Extremely high-quality equipment. This model is more focused on soldering small circuits. If a more standard soldering is needed, I recommend the HS-02A end model (these photos are of the B model). I suggest looking for videos that show the settings, which are quite useful, by the way, including temperature profiles, sleep mode, and others. It is not a wireless charger, requiring a high-capacity charger with a high-power USB-C cable. In terms of use, it is comfortable and has a good weight in the hand (sturdy but not heavy). I recommend it 100%.

It works great! For those who are having issues with the device reboot, that happens because probably the charging brick can’t hold the tension (v) with the required current (a). Just enter the setting menu and choose adaptative tension and it will calibrate and work fine. Awesome piece of kit

The only minor issue is that the box/stand is a bit light so when you want to take the iron out from the stand, the stand lifts so you sometimes need two hands for that. It’s really good for working on pcbs. I’ve got it after i watched some youtube comparision videos between aliexpress letcons. This one was the best out of others and it really works good. I’ve bought a baseus 100w charger for it and usb-c/usb-c cable with e-marker and 2 other tips. Very satisfied for now. The aliexpress storefront for fnirsi was a little awkward, but not hard to work with, and it was overall fine. The product arrived today and i tested it out and wow did it heat up fast!
